CRISIS NURSERY

Crisis Nursery is a shelter for abused, neglected or homeless children, newborn to 11 years old.  The shelter can house 42 children and since 1977 has provided hope, support and opportunities to over 14,000 children and their families.  In December  Paradise Republican Women's Club members who wish to participate purchase a Christmas gift and attend a gift-wrap party.  The Caring for America committee takes the gifts to Crisis Nursery before Christmas.  Additional donations are made during the year.

HUD-VASH PROGRAM

After searching options to help women veterans, the CFA Committee has selected the HUD-VASH Program (Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Veterans Affairs Supported Housing). The program goals include promoting maximal Veteran recovery and independence to sustain permanent housing in the community.

Cleaning out your closets? At this time the women veterans are in need of the following:
Casual clothes; fall & winter jackets; shoes; new underwear & bras
We are asking that your donations be in bags and brought to the General Meetings.
We will deliver the items.

NEW DAY CENTERS - www.umom.org
New Day Centers is Arizona's largest homeless shelter for families and the only shelter where boys over age 12 may remain with their families.  Founded in 1994, the non-profit organization receives corporate, individual and government support.  Each month a wish list of various  necessities is received, a basket is passed at the General Meetings and whoever wishes to donate money does so for the month's purchases.
